I am a Google-Babe

Call me Mrs. Google or better yet I rather be the mistress to the mister ;) . I fell in love with Gmail and now I am in love with the Google reader, Google sync, and Google talk formerly Grandcentral. What else, oh yes Google Analytics, Gtalk/Gchat and basically everything Google. The only thing I do not own right now is the Google Android. My dream is to one day own a Google house, a Google car and a Google MP3 player, maybe I will change my name to Vandy Google :D .

Gmail has evolved over the past few years, I love the labels, the ability to see multiple inboxes, to undo that embarrassing email that I might send when I am angry. The Most High (God) is the only one who knows how much I want to take back those words I just sent off. Gmail is the best…except when it is down that is.

Google Voice where do I begin, I have been beta testing it for the past two years when it was just Grand Central. Right  now I am so excited about the sms and the voicemail and the ability to use it as a regular phone. A great alternate that is my phone number for the public :) .

Google reader ah yes the place where I have all of those feed that I read for information. Oh and the reason why I retweet is  because someone already tweeted the post that I was reading. Back to Google reader, I can have all of my RSS feeds in one place and I could share it with my friends and share it on Facebook via the import feature. It is a very handy tool when it comes to getting the news and tech updates.

Google Sync my phone company Verizon Wireless is offering this feature called phonebook backup. I don’t use it though I rather use Google Sync for one reason it is free!!!  Second I could lose my contact at anytime i.e. when I am not thinking I may hard reset my phone and all of my contacts may disappear I could reinstall my Google sync and I am ready to go. By the way since I am Google’s mistress I am using it.

Oh no I forgot my GOOG-411. Now I love using GOOG-411, it is free and I do not have to wait for someone to answer me, that is $1.75 that I am saving quick and simple and you get to the business in under 30 seconds now that is some 411. You could try it 1-800-GOOG411.

Last but not least GTalk/GChat having my chat within my email is a one stop shop for me. MSN and Yahoo? Ok I admit I still use those, but I would rather have my GChat. Its clean not too much bulk like those ads and so far no spam and no stupid viruses. Plus I can see all of my emails when they come in.

As far as I can tell I am in love with Google :D . I am in no way affiliated and I am not being paid to say that it is just my opinion. There are many tools that Google is using some of the others are Youtube, Google Video, Google Analytics and the long time Google search. I find then quite useful and easy on the pockets, I cannot wait to see what is next. Anyways that’s it on Google.

Samsung Omnia (Verizon Wireless)

I was torn with the decision of whether to get the Google Android or the iPhone, but Verizon doesn’t have Gsm, so it would be useless to think about getting one or the other. So I had to look through their inventory online and I saw the HTC touch Pro, and if you know me well enough you would know that I love HTC phones, I will always stand by my AT&T Tilt. However, I am tired of AT&T. So back to the story. I saw the HTC Touch Pro and was thinking of whether I would want to pay $350.00 for a new phone and wait for a $100.00 mail –in rebate. Then I saw it, and it had all the right things that I needed, Windows Mobile 6.1 a touch screen, and the thought of being able to run my old software made my mouth water. Right now in the mode of being a budgeter I decided that I would think carefully. I mean I could spend over $500.00 if I really want something, but hey $99.00 is also good when it basically does what I want it to. It is in no way an iPhone, and I never really liked Apple much anyway. :P

I finally got it to run how I wanted it to with my software, transferred all of my information with Google sync and got my  Gmail working. Now I did have this annoying problem with the letters being too big, it was they were assuming everyone is practically blind, so they need a booster. I had to figure it out a bit, but I got it. I went into main menu at the bottom of my screen, then settings, system, then screen, then I selected Text Size, and I placed the adjuster in the middle. That helped the huge layout that had me scrolling forever to view large papers. One thing I am working on and will do after this week is figure out the Java software on this. So as of now I am just using the email client that Verizon gave. I more or less think they did it that way so we could use the sidebar widget, which has little or no use to me. But what the heck, I will maybe like it after a while. So far I am satisfied, after a day of use.

The speakerphone is awesome, loud and clear, the sound is great too. I have the 8gb one so I added my 8gb memory to it so it has a total of 16gb storage in it. Which is cool for $99.00. I have not tried my Jabra Bluetooth headset with it since I cannot use the inside ear headphones (tiny ear passage), but I will later. Plays the music really clear and loud which I like.  I transferred my ringtones to this new phone so my ringtones are on, so now I just have to wait until the ringback tones to work. Overall it is great!!!

Here are some pictures of it so far:
