The Lucky Gadget Girl

I have been neglecting my opensim project, and yes right now I am a little bit annoyed and tired with second life. Since after Cy aka Mikey passed away it lost some of its appeal but I would play on and off to catch up with avatar acquaintances. Plus it is full of unnecessary B.S. drama with a bunch of fake people who are just on to have some fun and to cyber. Some people place their life’s earnings in a virtual world and all they get is bogus nonsense. There are some who are lucky and find otherwise, but the not so lucky ones are being preyed upon constantly.

Though I will love to have the pleasures of SL on my Opensim, I would rather not go that way. Instead I am thinking about getting a dedicated server with the help of my hubby maybe at the end of this month or early next month. Then it could serve as a hangout spot for family and friends who are into virtual worlds.Having seen and done some of the things Linden Labs is charging you an arm and a leg for makes me more determined to get it up. With school and other projects however it is somewhat stuck in a little file cabinet for the time being. I might pull  it out and dust it soon. I think it will work wonders.

When I first found out about SL only 20k used to be online about a year after it came to 4ok a year after it was a mere 60k and it is still at 60k. SL is not all that anymore, but now as my hubby would say it should be at least 500k to 1 mill logging on every day. I just believe they are lapping in the luxury of money, and they want to charge a lot for some virtual land and the TOS still sucks. The last time I logged I heard they were talking about converting to real money…wow what a RL (real life) its going to be when you’re still the same person in both places. Once I get this Opensim going I think I will be going to limited on SL. I think I will try to make my own little economy. hmmm….
