How I use my Windows Mobile Phone Part 2

Yesterday I showed you a few of the apps that I am using on my Windows Mobile phone and how handy they are to me. I have a few more to show you. These are some of the apps I use either for social networking, instant messaging and surfing the web.

Facebook and Pocket Twit:

These two apps are my saviors if you get my drift. The Facebook app is nowhere close to the iPhone app but it is still good. I could still update my status and comment on other people’s status and I have to say it is coming on rather nicely. I am sure the next app will have some improvements. Pocket Twit an amazing twitter app. You could view the links sent in tweets you could DM, Retweet, Reply and update your status. You could also do twitpics and even shorten your links. It is just amazing app all around. If you have a Windows Mobile phone and you tweet try Pocket Twit sometime.

Skyfire and Opera Mobile Beta:

With Skyfire you could experience the web on your mobile device with a desktop kick to it. You could view your YouTube videos within the browser with no extra apps to open. In short it handles flash well. You could view almost every webpage on the web. The almost meaning sites like my school are not compatible, with Skyfire. With the Opera browser the experience is similar yet a bit low keyed as the certain pages are automatically shown in the mobile version and the flash is not really working. Well it does but it has to open another app to play Youtube videos. Overall it is a very good mobile browser, if your phone is unable to use Skyfire Opera might be best for you.

Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Agile Messenger, Palringo and Fring:

Ok long list. These are the 5 apps that I use for my web messengers. I have choices as at times I do get tired of the way one works so I can easily switch over to another app. So far I am loving the Palringo application it is very consistent and it shows me my offline messages, which is a plus a big plus. I am in love with Skype both the desktop version and the mobile version. You could use it simultaneous and you won’t miss a message. The big plus is that you could also make Skype calls making perfect use of that unlimited data. Agile Messenger is a paid application I only got it to test, it is the same as all multi-messengers it does voice clips and you could send pictures. Windows Live messenger if you want to keep the love of Msn Messenger this is the app for you, you could view your contacts display pictures and it is quite easy to use. All of the sounds of WLM on your phone. Fring ah yes this tiny application packs a huge punch, so you do not want to open all of these apps to update your status Fring will do that for you.

Pandora:

This is a great app for playing you online tunes from your favorite radio stations. The GUI leaves much to be desired but it works and that is all that matters to me. To find the .cab search the web its there waiting for you.

You may not be interested in all of these but that will give you an idea of what you may want on your phone if you ever own one.
