Friday: Automated Journal [App Review]

fridayI am one to always save information, well important information such as call data and SMS data. Yes I am a hoarder of data, but I found that it is really good to keep this information  especially when you have to prove something (CYA moments). Friday is a great app when it comes to saving locations, pictures, calls and text information.

When they released the beta in 2010, I jumped on board as I needed a way to save my data. I was always going back in time to either look at a text or even a call and this app actually came in handy. This is a true automated journal that will allow you to check your actions for any particular day. Having that ability is actually great, as many of us do tons of transactions per day and so we tend to sometimes forget something at one point or the other.

This app not only saves your calls or text messages, but also your GPS location, the music you listened to, pictures taken that day and emails sent to and from your phone. I am not sure about you but I love this feature. You could remove the data from your phone saving on space if you are lacking space.

You will need a Google account to log into the app one you’ve signed into the account setup is simple. The app give you the option to add up to five account, Facebook, Twitter,, Foursquare or Google account. You could also post from the app to either Twitter, Facebook or Foursquare.

For each message that you send out there is location data and phone data. Whether the batter was full or the phone was in vibrate mode. You could also add a call  back into the call history after you’ve deleted.

The app layout is not too cluttered and it seems to follow the Android design guidelines. Except for a few spots.

So go ahead and give it a try let me know your thoughts.
