Update: Windows 7 RC

The picture above shows what my actual windows experience entails. That is pretty good for a system with these specs:

Processor : Inter® Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50 GHZ

Installed memory (RAM): 4.00GB (3.50 usable)

Imagine it could run quite smoothly on a system with only 1 GB of memory.

With this taskbar similar to the docking station on the Mac, it is very efficient and tidy. All of my tabs are all hidden and it looks neater. All of my frequently used  programs are right where I need them so I hardly use my desktop or even the start button anymore.

I love the layout and the look of the Windows explorer, it is very detailed making it a little easier to find things. On the sidebar the option for network is in clear view and it takes you straight to all of the devices on your network.

I have not tried the homegroup just yet, since my network is working fine and I can share my files and printers with ease I have being rather lazy to give it a try :) .

I love having the options for my display. That is a plus for Windows 7. The rotating background does not seem to interfere with performance and does not seem to be taking up much of my resources. On a machine with less than desirable specifications I cannot vouch that it will run the same. As I have not tried it as of yet on that specific machine.

Another thing I wanted to note was that the drivers were all easy to find since the vista drivers  worked well on the Windows 7 system, another plus less driver hunting for me. So far so good everything is still running fine. some minor issues were fixed with the drivers.

I do hope soon that I will be able to give my review on Office 14 :) .

Release Candidate Windows 7

Finally I got the release candidate for Windows 7 on Monday and I have to say there were many improvements. I have yet to try the Windows XP Mode as yet but I hope to install it in a few minutes so that I could give it a run. I kinda got over XP but it would be nice to see an old friend again. So it is still running efficiently uses much less memory which again is a plus. My battery life on my notebook is impressive compared to when I use it with Windows Vista. I am still in love with the task bar which is almost full and my desktop will always remain clean. I do love the remote assistance which is much more easier to use. Even while running the remote assistance I did not notice any lagging or sluggish behavior.

I’ve installed the Windows XP Mode and here are a few pics:

Happy Mother’s Day

I am honored to say that I am a mother. Bringing a child into the world is a wonderful experience that I will treasure always. It was worth the pain :) . To my dearest mother no one in the world can replace you, you are the Matriarch of the family we will always come to you for guidance. To my aunt and second mother, no one can replace you either, you are filled with wisdom and you have taught me a lot of things that I can put to practice. I love you both.

It’s not only on Mother’s Day that one should appreciate their mother, it is supposed to be done everyday. Telling them that you love them, and buying them something nice. Without mothers I do not think the world would be balanced as there will be only men and sorry Fathers but you are hopeless without a woman :P (not saying that for all men) . A mother’s  love is undying, the bond between a mother and child begins from the time she finds out that she is bringing life into the world.

A mother will stand by her child no matter what, and they can never forget that they have a child. Having my own children made me realize how my mother felt about us, we are her gems. Mothers are strong,  they are courageous there are so many women who are single mothers. They are both the mother and father, they provide or try to provide everything their children needs. I respect women who are single mothers.

So do not only tell your mother you love her on Mother’s Day because you do not know what she went through to give you everything that you needed. Tell her that everyday, because she is the most special being in the whole wide world.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Update

Hey!!! I am still alive obviously :) . So here is an update, I have been reading constantly and I have been really getting things into perspective. For example….um…keeping away from twitter ;) so I have been living twitter free for a week.

Alas (I sound like Edward) :) I have been caught up in the Twilight Saga. I am later than some and just watched the Twilight movie and decided to read the book.

*Disclaimer: This is only my opinion and I was not paid or received any compensation whatsoever to give this opinion.

Twilight: The movie gave no justice to the book, there were so many things missing. I got to know Edward better, and I also got to know Bella (very clumsy girl). It is an amazing book, a neat thriller, that you would want to read more. Very captivating I should say. Knowing that Bella caught the heart of Edward a vampire who stayed without a mate from the time he was “born” was rather interesting. The only thing I did not like was Bella’s constant clumsy ways that brought upon some unnecessary attention. If anyone was that clumsy I would tell them to seek help or some therapy for motor skills. Anyhoo it was a typical love story except for the Vampire part. After all the description of how perfect Edward looks I could just imagine him…not Robert Pattinson…someone else. It was exciting to wonder if Bella was going to die every time I turned the page. So Bella almost died because some tracker vampire named James caught her sent. What drama, so Edward the hunk of a vampire and his family the Cullens took good care of James. Bella was left pretty broken. That made me want to read the second book  more. Then Edward made me dislike him…what a coward :( .

New Moon: So after all of the heartbreaking and the misery and the going into one’s self, Bella finally realized that there was a world out there. Hey after what Edward did he wasn’t, all that anymore. I do not know why the knuckle head could not see that. Jacob was waiting for her to wake up, but its all about her Edward, I wondered why as the Alpha he was never imprinted sooner. Are they trying to tell me that it was fate?  It was really full of repetition every time Bella ended up in the hospital for every little thing, like she was so clumsy. Now I was caught turning the pages to see if Jacob and Bella would “hook-up”. Ah well that did not happen. She did find out that Laurent and Victoria two of the other vampires that were with James are after her. That was when she found out that her dear Jacob was a Shape shifter. I think that turned her on because she loved danger. *rolling my eyes right now* Apparently Alice the crystal ball saw Bella disappear and poor coward Edward went to Italy to kill himself. So broken hearted Bella had to go after him to stop him. That is when that cruel Edward came back :( .

Eclipse: So Edward is back and yes Bella  is actually torn between the two because one was hot and one was cold haha. That girl had issues you hear me. So Jacob is getting broken hearted because she cannot keep her hands off that “cold one”. Edward was mad because the mongrel wanted tabs on his woman. Come to find out she still could not stay away from either because she um…loved them both? So in New Moon Jacob and his pack killed Laurent, so now Victoria was still after poor clumsy Bella. Not only that Irina from the Denali clan was also mad because her Laurent was torn to pieces by those bastard shape shifters. Here goes, during this time Victoria decided to start making new vampires so that she could get to Bella and then she could kill the Cullens since they harmed her precious James. It was a big fight, man even Jacob got some broken bones. As usual the danger magnet was saved.

breakingdawn

Breaking Dawn: Finally Bella and Edward got married poor thing I was happy for her. Again repetitions on her clumsiness. Then it took a twist that was just unrealistic. At least the other books had me wondering if vampires really exist haha. Sorry I had to just think it once. So anyhoo… They got married and did the usual…*cough* and BAM Bella was preggers (pregnant). The things is she had the baby within a month. In the process of all of this Jacob broke away from his pack to be with the Cullens because the Shape shifters wanted to kill Bella and the baby. Even Edward was scared. Then they realized what they had to feed her. That helped out a lot. Man it tore her up!!! Edward had no choice but to turn the poor girl. So now she is a vampire thank you to the most high because she stopped being clumsy. So here is the joke, you know Jacob was waiting to be imprinted right? Guess who it was…haha man that was so funny, perverted but funny. Bella has a fit when she found out haha Bella could actually kill him. Wow no more clumsy Bella. Even though Bella was a vampire that still did not mean trouble did not come a knocking. The Volutri wanted to kill that beautiful gifted child, mmm…they are powerful vampires who upheld the law. Bella showed her self out man she had them running. At least she did not need saving this time…finally!!!

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Basically the story line was ok but then it got to be too much with all of this Bella bringing danger and then the whole long tralala with her love triangle. It was just too much. I give my props to Stephanie Meyer. I don’t think I will watch the Twilight: New Moon movie though…I fear it might be chopped up again.
